Crime rate decreased in Ukraine - Avakov

Since the beginning of the quarantine, the crime rate in Ukraine has decreased by 30%, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said on March 30 on the TV channel Ukraine. "The crime rate for all articles decreased by 30%, but the frauds intensified, he said. Avakov noted that recently people began to learn SMS-messages, allegedly some company will carry out disinfection of premises and therefore its employees will walk on apartments. The police traced it. Sent SMS messages warning that they were frauds. But such crimes are not systemic, the Minister added. He recalled that at the moment the worst crime was the violation of the quarantine regime. Hundreds of thousands of people returned to the country and signed a document on voluntary quarantine. If, for example, 200,000 people do not observe it, we will not find any police on them, we do not have so many people, the Minister said. According to the news agency, earlier the Mayor of Kiev Vitaliy Klitschko called on the residents of the city not to organize picnics and mass trips to nature, but to observe quarantine, otherwise it threatens disaster.
