The restored bridge in Genoa will be opened at the end of July 2020
The authorities of Genoa are ready to open the rebuilt Morandi bridge exactly a month later, on July 29, Mayor Marco Bucci told reporters on Monday, June 29. At the same time, the question of which of the structures of national power should conduct the acceptance of the facility and, accordingly, when exactly this will be done has not yet been resolved, the mayor added. Morandi Bridge collapsed in August 2018, killing 43 people. Italian law enforcement agencies consider guilty executives and specialists of road companies who committed gross violations in the prevention and repair of the facility.
