Borrel condemns Kosovo head's refusal to work with EU dialogue representative

The European Union High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, said on 27 May. That the future of the Western Balkans, including Kosovo and Serbia in Europe, and therefore Kosovo leader Hashim Tachi should not give up EU mediation in the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo. On his Twitter page, the politician said that the EU intends to assist Serbia and Kosovo every step of their European path, and stressed that in order to make the European future a reality for people, there is no other way than EU-brokered dialogue. We remind that President Hashim Tachi of Kosovo stated that he does not intend to participate in the dialogue with the mediation of Borrel and EU Special Representative for Dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo Miroslav Lajcak, as they do not recognize Kosovo's independence. At the same time, the politician stressed that leadership in the dialogue belongs to the United States.
