In Kiev unknown attacked Roma

In Kiev, two unknown men attacked four Roma and burned their tent, said volunteer Vita Zinevich, reported on May 2 the publication Left Bank. According to the victims, two people broke into the tent early in the morning. They sprayed tear gas and began beating one of the men with a board. Later, the attackers set fire to a tent in which most things and documents burned down. Volunteers said that earlier these Gypsies went to Romania for earnings, and after the introduction of quarantine came to Kiev to collect echelons and ask for alms. The police of the Voloseevsky district of Kiev told journalists that the report on the incident was not drawn up, as the victims themselves did not ask for it. According to the news agency, earlier criminal proceedings were initiated against the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk. The official was suspected of xenophobia after he asked local law enforcement why they did not take Roma outside the city.
