Moody's revised South Korea's growth forecast


The international rating agency Moody s lowered South Korea's economic growth forecast due to the spread of a new type of coronavirus. This is reported by Yonhap News with reference to representatives of the agency. According to experts, in 2020 the economic growth rate of the country will be 1.9%, which is 0.2% less than in the previous forecast. Coronavirus has a negative impact on China's economic activity, and it is likely that the spread of the virus will also have a negative impact on some industries in the Asia-Pacific region, Moody s reported. It is known that the international rating agency also lowered Japan's economic growth rate from 0.4% to 0.3% and China from 5.8% to 5.2%, as well as adjusted the growth rate of world GDP. The G-20 (G20) is projected to be 2.4% in 2020 and 2.8% in 2021.
