Portugal announced PE regime due to coronavirus
Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelu de Sosa declared a state of emergency for 15 days due to the threat of a new type of coronavirus. The Portuguese leader made a statement during a television speech. It is noted that the state of emergency in Portugal is introduced for the first time in the history of the country. It will be valid for 15 days, but it is not excluded that the PE regime can be subsequently extended. Portugal's president has already described the threat of coronavirus as a test never faced by the health system and Portuguese society. According to the news agency, the first death from the disease was COVID-19 recorded in Portugal on March 16. An 80-year-old man died of illness.
