The creation of a nuclear submarine is on the agenda of the Iranian Navy
On 16 April, the commander of the Iranian Army Navy stated that Iran was considering the establishment of nuclear submarines. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Rear Admiral Hossein Hanzadi said Iran's stance on nuclear power was absolutely clear and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly stressed its peaceful nature. Hanzadi stressed that there are many international agreements, and none of them prevent the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Speaking about the armed forces, the Rear Admiral said: In the absence of military power, the world will never be stable. That is why there are armed forces of countries. They make the world durable. The Commander of the Navy noted that Iran needed nuclear energy. According to him, American warships are in the region because they use nuclear fuel. Without it, they would have to go to ports to refuel, and they could stay at sea for six months.
