Latvia: US military presence in Europe needs to be maintained

In an interview with LETA, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgar Rinkevich announced the importance of the US military presence in Europe. This sounded against the background of the voiced intentions of US President Donald Trump to transfer part of the American military contingent stationed in Germany to Poland. It is important that the US presence in Europe be maintained. I think the US military needs to be in Germany and Poland, but I would not want to speculate which country they better be in Rinkevich. The Latvian minister noted that we are not talking about reducing the size of the US military contingent.
