We need the truth: Lukashenko commented on the detention of Russian citizens
Belarus is open to interaction with Russia in the situation with the detention of citizens of the Russian Federation near Minsk. This was stated by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko. If someone has a desire from the Russians to get additional information, we are always open. We do not hide anything, but we need the truth, BelTA quotes Lukashenko. The Belarusian leader added that citizens of the Russian Federation should be treated carefully, since they, of course, are to blame, but not so much as to take some tough measures against them. According to the news agency, on July 29, law enforcement officers detained 33 Russian citizens in Belarus, who, according to Minsk, allegedly planned to destabilize the situation in the republic during the election campaign. The Belarusian side claims that some of the detainees, who are allegedly fighters of the foreign private military company Wagner, took part in the war in the Donbass.
