Tajikistan's external debt doubled industrial output


Tajikistan's external debt as of July 1, 2020 amounted to $3.096 billion. This was reported on September 4 by Avesta with reference to the Ministry of Finance of the republic. The amount of external debt is twice the volume of production of industrial products of the republic for the specified period. During the reporting period, industrial production amounted to 15.54 billion somoni ($1.51 million). According to the news agency, according to the results of the first half of 2020, the Tajik authorities spent $114.8 million to service external debt, including $38.3 million to pay interest on loans.
