Take from the rich: dividends can impose a progressive tax

A progressive scale of dividend tax for large companies may appear in Russia. This proposal was made to the government by a member of the Federation Council Andrei Kutepov. Several thresholds for raising the tax rate will fill the pandemic-affected budget, the senator believes. The initiative, if adopted, will hit first of all the state itself as the largest recipient of dividends and will worsen the already poor investment environment, experts are sure.
