Infectious: only three EU dwarf states are better than Georgia
The coronavirus situation is better than in Georgia in only the three dwarf states of Liechtenstein, Monaco and the Vatican, where fewer cases of illness and fewer deaths are recorded. This was announced at a briefing on April 7 by the Director of Tbilisi Center of Infectious Pathologies, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Tengiz Tserzwadze. According to him, in terms of mortality and distribution of coronavirus Georgia among 53 countries of Europe occupies the 50th place. In the remaining 49 countries of Europe, the situation is much worse, including dwarf states such as Luxembourg (where there are more than 2,000 infected per 300,000 population) and Iceland (where there are also more than 1,500 patients per 300,000 inhabitants). I am not saying anything about the leading states of Europe, where hundreds of thousands are the number of infected and tens of thousands the number of dead, said Tserzwadze. As for a number of states where isolated cases of coronavirus are recorded, the Georgian infectious person emphasizes that these are mainly tropical states where it is not known at all whether normal diagnosis is done. Recall that as of April 7 in Georgia 196 cases of coronavirus were recorded, 46 patients were cured, three died. In quarantine mode there are 4,674 people, in hospitals 362 patients.
